Forwarding rules

Forwarding rules automatically forward emails or SMS messages that match given criteria to an external email address. The original message remains in your inbox.

Forwarding rules require the Business or Enterprise plan.

Prerequisites

The forwarding destination must be either:

View forwarding rules

  1. Navigate to the inbox you want to configure.
  2. Click the Forwarding rules tab.

Existing rules are displayed on screen, each with Edit rule and Delete options.

Create a forwarding rule

  1. Navigate to the inbox's Forwarding rules tab.
  2. Click Add new rule.
  3. Under When all these conditions are met, click Add condition.
  4. Select a property: Sent from, Sent to, or Subject.
  5. Choose an operator: Contains, Equals, Starts with, or Ends with.
  6. Enter the value to match against.
  7. To add more conditions, click Add condition again. All conditions must be met for the rule to trigger.
  8. Under Forward the message to, enter the destination email address.
  9. Click Create.

To remove a condition before saving, click the X icon next to it.

Edit a forwarding rule

  1. Navigate to the inbox's Forwarding rules tab.
  2. Click Edit rule next to the rule you want to modify.
  3. Update the conditions or forwarding address in the dialog.
  4. Save your changes.

Delete a forwarding rule

  1. Navigate to the inbox's Forwarding rules tab.
  2. Click Delete next to the rule you want to remove.
  3. In the confirmation dialog, click Delete to confirm.
