SMTP, POP3, and IMAP connection details

You can connect to a Mailosaur inbox using standard email protocols: SMTP, POP3, and IMAP. This is useful for integrating Mailosaur with email clients, legacy systems, or applications that send or retrieve email via these protocols.

These protocols are only for pushing or pulling content into and out of your Mailosaur inbox. They do not send email to external recipients.

Plan availability

  • SMTP is available on all plans.
  • POP3 and IMAP require the Business or Enterprise plan.

View connection details

  1. Navigate to the inbox you want to connect to.
  2. Click the Connect tab.

The page displays connection details for each protocol. You must have Writer or Admin privileges on the inbox to reveal the password.

Connection security

Each protocol offers a dropdown where you choose how to connect:

  • Use SSL to connect (recommended)
  • StartTLS
  • None
